The acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS) was first described in the ntedical literature in June 1981. Since that time there has been exp-losion in the number of reports of AIDS. AIDS has been reported in patients with ha-emophilic patients who were receiving commercially prepared factor VIII concentrate more than from blood- bank produced cryoprecipitate. This is pro-bably due to the fact that each unit of factor VIII concentrate is made from blood obtained from 2000-5000 blood donors. The prevalence of HIV infection amog adult ha-emophilic men in most studies is reported to range from %50-90 percent. About % 1 of these patients developed AIDS. The heamophilic patients and their heterosexually partner and their children are risk for AIDS We would like to present the first one case of AIDS in hemophilic patients and his wife in our cli-nic.
