In this study, T, B and null cell proportions of Numan peripheral blood lymphocytes esere deter-ıııined by using immunoenzymatic and cytochemical staining techniques. Alpha-naplıtlıy1 butyrate esterase (NBE) staining revealed that large rnajority of the peripheral blood lymphocytes (82%) were positive, whereas smaller proportion (17%) were negative. Positive lymphocy-tes showed two distinct granular positivity. Most of the NBE positive cells (69%) had 1-4 large (dot-like)„ reddish-brown granules (localised granular positivity), 13% of the positive cells had large quan-Lily of dıffusely arranged sinan granules (diffuse granular positivity). Localised granular, diffuse granular positive and negative cells vere evaluated as T-lymphocytes, null cells and B-lymphocytes respectively. By rneans of immunoenzymatic staining of the surface immunoglobulins (SIg), 15% of the peri-pheral blood lymphocytes were found to be B-lymphocytes.
