In many parts of the body, there are direct connections that allow blood to pass from the artery to the vein without interfering with the capillary network. These are called arteriovenous anastomoses (1,2). The lumen can be completely closed with the effect of unmyelinated nerve fibers coming from the sympathetic nervous system, located on the walls of the vessels that emerge from our arteriovenous anastom, and the blood passes into the capillary network through the normal route. When open, the anastomosis can transport blood directly from the artery to the vein, and the capillary mesh can write this `` in the air ''.
