103 patients with breast carcinoma in Selçuk University Medicine Faculty between the years 1990-1992 were analyzed retrospectiyelyin these patients age, histopathologic type. histologic grade, elastosis and axillarv lymph node infiltratation were eyaluated. The distrubution of histologic grade of tumors were: Grade 1 %28.2, Garede II % 52.4, Grade III % 19.4. The distribution of the elastotic grade of tunıors were: Grade 1: 31, Grade 11 % 53.4, Grade 111 % 19.4. Ninety eight patients with infiltrating ductal carcinoma were analyzed for histologic type and elastosis. The distribution of the elastotic grade were: Grade I 29 (%29.6), Grade 11 53 (%54)„ Grade 111 16 (%16.4). One of the intraductal carcinoma was eyaluated Grade II. The distribution of the elastotic grade of the infiltrating labular carcinoma were Grade I 1 (%50). Grade 11 1 (%50). Two of the nıucinou,s carcinonıa's elastotic grade were I. In Iliis study, compatible witlı provious reports, ıve observed that ıhere is a paradox correlation between elastosis and histologic grade ira breast carcinomas, especially in infiltrating ductal carcinonuıs , and elastosis is mo•e prominent in low grade tumors.
