Since it is the most abundant bacteria in the flora, resistance to E. coli, especially the development of carbapenemase-producing strains, is one of the undesired situations. In our hospital, E. coli isolates with OXA-48 resistance gene were isolated from the clinical samples of two patients. That it would be beneficial to report these cases in order to report the isolation of E. coli isolates with OXA-48 resistance gene and to prevent the spread of this resistance gene in these microorganisms.
