Obesity incidence is rapidly increasing in Turkey like all over the world. Surgery has become a gold standard treatment for obesity due to the unsatisfactory results of diet and drug therapies. The number of clinics applying bariatric surgery is increasing every day. In this review, preoperative, perioperative and postoperative nursing care strategies were discussed.
