The evaluation of patients who had myomectomy performed during caesarean section in our clinic. The data of 44 patients who had myomectomy performed during caesarean section in our clinic between June 2006 and January 2010 were analyzed retrospectively. Data regarding patient age, gravidity, abortions, gestational age, indication for caesarean section, the position and size of fibroids detected during caesarean section, hemoglobin value before and after the operation and the difference between the two values, intraoperative hemorrhage, need for blood transfusion, duration of the operation, days of hospitalization and the results of histopathological examination of myomectomy materials. The average age of patients was 33.3±4.9 (25-44) and average gestational age was 37.5±2.3 (28-41) weeks. The average size of the fibroids was 6.61±2.7 cm (3-18 cm). Subserous myoms were the most frequently seen ones with fundal or corporal localization in most of the instances.
