1064 cases who were treated in the Thoracic Surgery Clinic, Faculty of Medicine, Universty of Selcuk between 1983 and 1994 were presented 762 of them injured due to blunt trauma, 249 were due to sharp weapons and is were gunshad wounds. 50 cases were treated surgically. Results are sum-marized in the article and involving literature was discussed.
