Women’S Opinions About Mode Of Delivery And Satisfaction With Hospital Care After Cesarean Section

The aim at this study is to evaluate women’s experience, opinion about mode of delivery, satisfaction with hospital care after cesarean section. This descriptive, cross-sectional study was carried out at 140 women who had cesarean section. The proposed cut off score for SMMSCB was 146.5 and 48.6% of the women had high level of satisfaction. The mean SMMSCB scale score was 144.9±18.7 (min=90, max=105). When subgroups of the scale was examined, ‘perception of health professionals’ was 20.1±3.4 (min=5, max=25); preparation for caesarean 7.9±1.9 (min=2 max=10); ‘comforting’ score was 7.8±2.9 ( min=3 max=15); ‘information and involvement in decision making’ score was 28.2±6.9 (min=8 max=40), meeting the baby 7.4±3.9 (min=3 max=15), postpartum care 7.5±5.1 (min=7 max=30), hospital room 10.5±3.1 (min=3 max=15), hospital facilities 9.9±2.9 (min=3 max =15), respect for privacy 15.1±3.7 (min=8 max=20), meeting expectations 14.6±2.9 (min=8 max =20).
