Superior mezenterik arter sendromu (SMAS), seyrek görülen bir klinik durumdur. Bu makalede, 20 yaşında SMAS'lı bir erkek hasta bildirildi ve kilo kaybı ile birlikte uzunca süre tekrarlayan kusmaları nedeniyle yapılan birkaç laparatomi sunuldu. Canlandırmadan sonra hasta cerrahi olarak tedavi edildi ve takiben iyileşti. SMAS'ın tanı güçlükleri tartışıldı ve literatür gözden geçirildi.
