Daha önce Hepatit B tanısı koyduğumuz hastalarda HBsAg kronik taşıyıcılığını ve bu taşıyıcılarda levamizolün etkisini araştırdık. Üç yıllık süre içinde Hepatit B geçiren 175 hastadan 18'inde HBsAg pozitifliği devam etti. HBsAg taşıyıcısı olan bu gruptan 12'sine 2.5 ingikg (Haftada üç gün) dozda iki ay süreyle levamizol verildi. Bu süre sonunda 12 hastadan 8'inde 11BsAgii kayboldu. Plasebo alan 6 kontrol hastasında ise değişiklik olmadı.
