In this study: the effect of and tolerability to long actinz Verapamil SR 240 mg treatment on ',ordu, mild, moderate and malignant hypenension were in-vestigated.7'he drug was giyen orally once a day. If there was a necessity, a Jose o f 360 mg was used. At the end of Iliis study Verapamil SR 240 mg was found effective in most of thepaıients. Afier theVe-rapamil SR 240 mg treatınent, the patients diastolic blood pressure was ender 90 mın lig. Cardiac and ex-tracardiac tolercllıility to Verapamil SR 240 mg iher-apı. was excelknt. AV-block wasn't seen. In some of the patients, there were Side ellects such as headache, fiıtigue. flushing, nausea, vomiting and dizziness.
