Herpes Zoster and malignant diseases

/Ve observed patients with Herpes Zoster for the malignant diseases who came to dermatology elinle in the last five years. Of the 213 patients, in 12 ( % 5.68) we found malignant diseases such as pulmonary, hepatic, ovary, bladder cancers, squamous celi carcinoma, chronic lymphositic leukemia and non- hodgkin lymphoma. We suggest that, patients with Herpes Zoster must be searehed for malignant diseases, but it doesn ’ t mean that Herpes Zoster is a cancer marker.
