Serum Fasting Blood Sugar,Total Cholesterol, HDL- Cholesterol and Triglyceride Levels of Headthy Ohese Subjects

Serum fasting blood sugar (FBS), total cholesterol, 11DL- cholesterol and triglyceride of 96 non- obese (44femak, 19 male) and 29 <>hese (10fernale, 19 male) people were deterrnined, FBS level of obese women and men were higher < 0.01 for women, p <0.05 for men) than those of non- obese subjeets.Triglvreride level of obese women was higher (han that of controls (p < 0.02). 11DL-rholesterol levels of obese women were significantly higher !han !hese of obese men (p < 0.(01). It was roncluded that obesity may be a rise factor for diabetes mellitus (DM).
