The value of ultrasonography in the liver diseases

391 cases were examined by US (Ultrasonography) at the department of Radiology of Medical Faculty of Selçuk University, between May 25, 1985 and December 30, 1985. Hydatid csyt to have localized in the liver in twenty three cases, in the liver and abdomen in one case, in the liver and left kidney in one case, liver ci.rrhose characteriezd by splenomegaly, acsites and the increase of connective tissue in twenty cases and solid (tumour) lesion in eight cases were determined in the liver. US findings were compared wi.th operation findigns. The diagnosed csyt. US has become a guide for clinical diagnostic studies and to determine operation indication.
